Glenfawn, Texas
Glenfawn was probably named by Monte Verdi plantation owner, Julien Sidney Devereux but local legend says it was given its name by the locals after a man named Glen killed a fawn in that area. It's located on FM 1662, south-southeast of Laneville and is now only a cluster of homes, a few churches, and several burial grounds.Local Attractions:
Monte Verdi Plantation
was located near Glenfawn and tours of the Devereaux mansion are
permitted by appointment on special occasions by the Koch family, who now own
the mansion.
